Who we are

MakoChat is a product of Mako Logics LLC. We provide an AI chat assistant that businesses place on their websites. Questions about this policy: support@makologics.com.

What we collect

Chat conversations. When you chat with a MakoChat widget, we store the messages you send and the assistant's replies, so the business can follow up and we can run the service.

Contact information you choose to share. If you give the assistant your name, phone number, or email so the business can reach you, we store it and email it to that business.

Text messages. If you leave a phone number, the business's assistant may follow up by text to continue the conversation. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Demo requests. If you submit the demo form on makochat.app, we store and email your submission to Mako Logics.

Technical data. We briefly log IP addresses to prevent abuse — rate-limiting chat and form submissions — and pass them to Cloudflare when verifying you are not a bot.

Basic analytics. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights on makochat.app — aggregated, cookie-free page and performance statistics. We do not run advertising trackers.

How AI is involved

Assistant replies are generated by AI language models via our conversation vendor, Retell AI, which processes chat messages to produce responses. Your conversations are not used to train AI models, and we never sell your data to anyone.

Who we share data with

Only the vendors required to run the service: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting, analytics and performance monitoring), Retell AI (conversation processing), Cal.com (appointment scheduling, when the business enables calendar booking), Stripe (payment processing for subscribing businesses), Resend (email delivery), and Cloudflare (bot protection on forms). Each receives only what it needs. Conversations and leads belong to the business whose widget you used — they receive them by email and in their dashboard.

Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with security-certified infrastructure vendors, and access is restricted to Mako Logics operators behind authenticated, two-factor-protected accounts. We retain conversations and leads while the related business remains a customer, and delete on verified request.

Your choices

Don't want to share something with an assistant? Just don't type it — the chat works without contact details. To ask what we hold about you or request deletion, email support@makologics.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
